Although acupuncture as a practice is something that has been heard of around the world, how it is performed may be unclear to some people. This is an area that is very easy to clear up and explain.
There are several different forms of acupuncture that are used. But they all work in roughly the same way. Each of the different types of acupuncture use needles even if the needles themselves are slightly different. These needles are very slim and are carefully inserted into the skin. Beyond this, the methods of acupuncture differ slightly among the three main techniques.
When looking into the Chinese method, the needles may be turned slightly or they may have heat or electricity included to help to enhance the effects. The Japanese method is different in that the needles are not normally manipulated. The third method is the Korean method and the needles are normally applied to just the hands and feet.
