Kaitlyn Selser, Behavioral Health Counselor
Kaitlyn Selser received her Masters in Clinical Psychology from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology in 2015. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor through the state of Oregon and Illinois. Kaitlyn's philosophy is to deliver compassionate and empathetic care while empowering patients to overcome their obstacles. Kaitlyn feels passionate about working in integrated/community health field because she strongly believes everyone deserves access to behavioral health services regardless of their circumstances.
She works in primarily 30 minute sessions (however can do traditional 60 minute sessions as well), also known as brief interventions which are designed to efficiently utilize warm handoffs from medical providers and provide patients with straightforward feedback and skill-building to help improve overall well-being. This approach can assist patients with developing a plan to challenge a variety of issues (ie anxiety, depression, stress, relationship conflict, sleep disturbances, diet and exercise changes, substance use, etc) and accessing the support needed in a timely manner which meets the needs better of many patients. The main therapeutic approaches she uses are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing. She works with adolescents (12 and up) and adults.
Originally from Montana, Kaitlyn enjoys spending time outdoors, traveling, skiing, and appreciating culinary excellence, also known as eating out frequently.
