Lorie Kelley, Family Nurse Practitioner
Lorie Kelley is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. Lorie completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) and her Master of Science in Nursing with specialization in Education from Walden University, and post Masters Family Nurse Practitioner degree from Purdue University.
Lorie has over 30 years of nursing experience in various areas of health care. In 2017 she helped to integrate one of the first Staff Announcement Technologies in US hospitals. She has lobbied on Capital Hill for independent practice rights for Nurse Practitioners in the United States. Her most recent health care experience was working with Homeland Security and the Department of State. Lorie helped to establish and work in a medical clinic in Los Angeles, caring for unaccompanied minors from Central America as well working on the East Coast with Afghan refugees.
Lorie is originally from western Nebraska, where she enjoyed hunting, fishing, and love of the outdoors. She enjoys watching multiple sports. She is a huge Husker and KC Chief’s fan. Lorie has two adult sons. In her spare time, she enjoys painting, sculpting, photography, and going to the coast with her pup Olly.
She is currently working on achieving her Certification in Herbalism.
